Queer Friendly Prenatal Classes: Birthing With Pride

The Nesting Place is very pleased to offer queer parents of Peterborough and Toronto Birthing With Pride prenatal classes. These one-of-a-kind classes work with the philosophy that there is no particular ‘right’ way to give birth. Presented in an interactive non-lecture format, parents are free to explore the choices that are right for them, identify their strengths for labour and deepen their coping or labour support abilities.

We recommend completeing your classes within 3-10 weeks of your due date.

Join us in Peterborough, ON for prenatal classes in the beautiful space of Kalico Healing Arts (252 1/2 Charlotte St). Small classes of 4-6 couples ensure a personal approach in which everyone has a chance to participate and contribute in class discussion. Your faciltator Sheena Howard, RN brings years of nursing experience and mentoring support to her classes so that you'll benefit from a balance of practical information and creative hands-on techniques for labour.
